RESEARCH NOTES

01 Purpose and scope

This limited adaptation retains family teaching / value alignment in Section 3 only. Five other sections remain pending, and no intergroup-conduct case is established in any of the six categories. Full research is incomplete / Needs review.

Traditional Values here means specific historically situated family, social and moral norms. It is not one organized population and is not automatically equivalent to Hindu orthodoxy, nationality, cultural heritage or political conservatism. The issuer, publication date and particular norm matter.

Religious teachings, public advocacy, institutional conduct and measured outcomes require different evidence. Shared values within a religious publication do not establish interaction between separate groups. Friction, modernization or disagreement alone is not automatically harm.

Status: Pending source inspection. No suitable intergroup-conduct example is established here. The bounded teaching-source review does not document a category-specific conduct search. This gap does not establish historical absence.

04 3. Hinduism → Traditional Values — Teaching / value alignment only

Retained as prescriptive teaching, not intergroup assistance. Hinduism Today’s July 1, 1994 “Husband and Wife” presents marriage as mutual spiritual and material support, marital commitment and child-rearing. These are the publication’s prescriptions, not a description of every Hindu household. Source [1], central-purpose section.

The same article assigns provision and family headship to husbands, and domestic and childcare responsibilities to wives. It discourages wives’ outside employment when husbands can provide. Mutual care and these unequal household expectations must both remain visible. Source [1], wife-duty and husband-duty sections.

The January 1, 2009 “Parenting With Love” advocates nonviolent child-rearing and reconsidering inherited parenting habits. Its introduction discusses corporal punishment, Jane Nelsen and Positive Discipline; subsequent attributed discussion connects parent-child relationships with noninjury. This qualifies any assumption that the publication defends every inherited practice. Source [2], introduction and following noninjury discussion.

These sources establish expressed guidance from one publication. They do not establish assistance between separate organizations, universal Hindu family practice, measured parenting effectiveness or a formal retraction of every earlier household-role prescription.

RESEARCH NOTES

08 Evidence and interpretation limits

The 1994 article’s claims about biological suitability, karma, family stability and divorce are not adopted here as scientifically established facts. Prescriptions and their effects must be assessed separately.

The 2009 introductory institutional narrative is self-report. Its parenting advice is not an independently evaluated trial, and no measured program effectiveness or population-wide behavioral change is established. A later criticism of corporal punishment does not prove that all earlier household-role prescriptions were withdrawn.

Teaching within a Hindu publication does not establish reciprocal Traditional Values → Hinduism support. The same passages are not counted again as ordinary coexistence.

The recorded search scope was targeted searches for Himalayan Academy filial duties and Hinduism Today family roles / positive discipline, followed by inspection of these two pages. Other hits, including a 2026 republication and related chapters, were not inspected or treated as separate corroboration. This is not exhaustive research across six conduct categories.

RESEARCH NOTES

09 Reader-friendly synthesis

One Hindu publication presents family commitment and mutual care alongside unequal household roles in 1994. Its later parenting guidance advocates nonviolence and reconsidering inherited habits. Both teachings and their limits belong in the account; neither source establishes community-wide conduct or measured outcomes.

12 Review and change log

October 26, 2026 — Gemini via William supplied the framework. Rowan’s superseding source audit retained Section 3 as teaching / value alignment only, with household-role asymmetry, nonviolent-parenting qualification and conduct/outcome limits preserved. Published with William’s Proceed authorization. Five other sections pending; all six intergroup-conduct categories unestablished in this pass. Full research incomplete / Needs review.
