01 Purpose and scope

Full comparison incomplete / Needs review. 4 directional categories remain pending. Pending means unestablished in this bounded inspection, not historical absence.

Categories are analytical lenses with overlapping people and institutions. The finding concerns named actors in a particular period; it does not establish a universal position or a moral score.

04 3. Conservative → Liberal — Supportive interactions

In May 2010, the UK Conservative Party entered a governing coalition with the Liberal Democrats, with agreed participation in ministerial appointments and government decision-making. The operational agreement documents intended rules; it does not prove every provision was implemented. Sources [1–3].

07 6. Liberal → Conservative — Supportive interactions

The Liberal Democrats joined that government and agreed parliamentary support under its coalition rules, while preserving separate identities and differences. This is the reverse perspective on the SAME arrangement, not independent corroboration or a second event. No universal ideological harmony or policy benefit is inferred. Sources [1–3].

A. Coalition Agreement for Stability and Reform, May 2010, official PDF:

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5a79041de5274a2acd18b8db/coalition-agreement-may-2010_0.pdf

Inspected extracted text, introduction, sections 1 and 5, and visual PDF page 2. Primary agreement documents intended working rules and appointments, not proof every provision was implemented. It retains separate party identities and exceptions to collective positions. Distinguish this operational document from the separate 11 May policy agreement and 20 May programme.

B. PM and Deputy PM press conference, 12 May 2010, official transcript:

https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/pm-and-deputy-pm-press-conference--2

Inspected leaders' opening statements. Cameron announced joint backing and Liberal Democrat Cabinet participation; Clegg affirmed partnership while retaining differences. Primary public statements, not independent proof of policy success or endurance.

C. House of Commons Library, The 2010 Coalition Government at Westminster, briefing landing page, 11 May 2015:

https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn06404/

Inspected institutional summary confirming coalition formation in May 2010 and documenting areas of disagreement. Secondary parliamentary research summary, not another participant agreement. Full downloadable report not inspected. Does not establish universal ideological harmony.
