RESEARCH NOTES
01 Purpose and scope
This limited shared record retains one Muslim advocacy organization’s participation in a civil-rights coalition appeal for structural policing reform. Five directional categories remain pending.
Social justice, charity, religious philanthropy and partisan identity are distinct but can overlap. Zakat, sadaqah and humanitarian work are not automatically excluded; a particular action must establish its connection to equity, rights or structural reform.

02 1. Islam → Social Justice — Harmful interactions
Status: Pending source inspection. No case is retained for this category. This is an evidence gap, not a finding that no suitable examples exist.

03 2. Islam → Social Justice — Ordinary / neutral coexistence
Status: Pending source inspection. No case is retained for this category. This is an evidence gap, not a finding that no suitable examples exist.
Active advocacy is not relabeled ordinary coexistence merely because it is peaceful. No observed routine between identified counterparts was established.

04 3. Islam → Social Justice — Supportive coalition advocacy
Retained case: May 23, 2024, U.S. federal legislative advocacy. CAIR is listed among the signatories of the Leadership Conference’s letter welcoming introduction of the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act while calling for stronger provisions and community investment. The appeal addresses House Speaker Mike Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Sources [1]–[2], opening paragraphs and signatory list; PDF pages 1 and 3.
The letter’s police-accountability and racial-equity proposals establish the social-justice connection independently of generic charity or party affiliation. This documents support for a coalition agenda, not a financial transfer.
A signature listing supports participation in the published appeal. It does not show that CAIR drafted it, held a private meeting, secured passage, caused a vote or improved policing outcomes. The letter welcomes the bill with qualifications; it is not unqualified approval of every provision. Its policy judgments remain the signatories’ arguments.

05 4. Social Justice → Islam — Harmful interactions
Status: Pending source inspection. No case is retained for this category. This is an evidence gap, not a finding that no suitable examples exist.
General disagreement with religious norms does not establish harmful conduct; the actors, affected recipients, action and context need evidence.

07 6. Social Justice → Islam — Supportive interactions
Status: Pending source inspection. No case is retained for this category. This is an evidence gap, not a finding that no suitable examples exist.
The retained general-reform letter does not establish separate assistance directed toward Muslim institutions or practitioners. Reverse-direction support requires its own evidence.
RESEARCH NOTES
08 Institutional identity and attribution limits
CAIR’s own About Us page describes its Muslim civil-liberties role and mission concerning Islam, Muslim empowerment and civil rights. Source [3], Vision and mission and introductory description. This establishes the organization’s stated framework, not a claim that it represents all Muslims.
The record does not infer that religious doctrine caused the coalition action. A Muslim advocacy organization can participate in a broader rights campaign without the identities or aims of every participant being identical.

09 Inspection scope and remaining gaps
The retained case uses the 2024 original letter and its HTML reproduction, plus CAIR’s institutional self-description. A separate June 2020 coalition letter was inspected as a lead but is not combined with the 2024 date or legislative session.
Five categories remain pending. No comprehensive survey, absence finding or forced symmetry is claimed. Generic relief and welfare leads remain unverified as particular directional cases.
RESEARCH NOTES
10 Reader-friendly synthesis
An identified Muslim advocacy organization joined a published coalition appeal for structural policing reform. That establishes participation in advocacy while leaving legislative success, practical outcomes and the wider comparison unresolved.
HOLY WARS · FICTION
11 Connection to Holy Wars
Specific characters or institutions may collaborate on a shared reform goal without agreeing on every issue. This record approves no automatic alliance, identity-based moral score or new gameplay mechanic.
