RESEARCH NOTES

01 Purpose and scope

This limited shared record retains one official funding commitment concerning Jewish institutions. Five directional categories remain pending. The full comparison remains incomplete / Needs review.

Political conservatism is distinct from Conservative/Masorti Judaism. This case concerns a named UK Conservative Party officeholder; it does not establish a universal conservative doctrine or an ideological cause for the policy.

Jewish religious, cultural and political identities are diverse. Protection for synagogues and other Jewish institutions does not imply that recipients endorsed the governing party.

Retained: an announced protective-security funding commitment. On March 1, 2017, Home Secretary Amber Rudd announced continuation of the Jewish community protective security grant for 2017–18, committing £13.4 million for security at Jewish institutions. The intended recipients included schools, nurseries, synagogues and community sites. Source [1], funding paragraphs.

The government page identifies the Community Security Trust as a partner administering security grants. The retained finding is the official commitment and intended institutional support, rather than a completed-installation or crime-reduction finding.

UK Parliament records Rudd as a Conservative MP from May 6, 2010 to September 7, 2019 and Home Secretary from July 13, 2016 to April 29, 2018. These dated entries establish the actor’s political and official context at the announcement date. Source [2], party affiliation and Government posts.

The speech page is labeled speaker’s notes that may differ from delivery. It is primary evidence of the government’s published announcement, not independent accounting of disbursement, equal benefits for every community, or reduced attacks.

RESEARCH NOTES

08 Reader-friendly synthesis

A Conservative officeholder announced protective funding for Jewish institutions, including synagogues. This establishes a specific supportive commitment without implying universal political agreement, measured security success, or a complete history of the relationship.
