RESEARCH NOTES
01 Purpose and scope
This limited shared record retains one public endorsement of a Muslim claimant’s religious-liberty victory. It does not establish a general alliance or a completed historical comparison. Five directional categories remain pending.
Conservative here refers to context-specific political and social positions. Religious orthodoxy, nationalist identity, residence in a conservative district or a judge’s appointing party do not automatically establish that classification.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
02 1. Islam → Conservative — Harmful interactions
Status: Pending verification. No named case was retained in this bounded inspection. Religious disagreement alone does not establish harmful conduct.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
03 2. Islam → Conservative — Ordinary / neutral coexistence
Status: Pending verification. General family-policy coalition claims lack identified parties and inspected case evidence here. Active coalition advocacy should be evaluated as support rather than ordinary coexistence merely because it is nonviolent.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
04 3. Islam → Conservative — Supportive interactions
Status: Pending verification. No specific UN resolution, voting record and coordination evidence was established in this pass. A Muslim-majority state is not automatically acting as a representative of Islam; aligned votes alone do not prove cooperation.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
05 4. Conservative → Islam — Harmful interactions
Status: Pending verification. No case with adequately established actor classification, measure, recipients and context was retained. Nationalism is not automatically interchangeable with conservatism.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
06 5. Conservative → Islam — Ordinary / neutral coexistence
Status: Pending verification. Residence in a conservative district does not identify an individual’s convictions or establish an intergroup interaction. The draft’s generic local-commerce claim is not retained as a finding.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
07 6. Conservative → Islam — Supportive public expression
Retained case: FRC commentary, January 20, 2015. Travis Weber publicly endorsed the Supreme Court’s Holt v. Hobbs ruling protecting the Muslim claimant’s religious beard practice. Source [1], concluding paragraphs beginning “The Supreme Court ruled correctly” and “This case is a win”.
This establishes a public endorsement, not proof FRC represented the claimant, filed an amicus in the case or caused the victory. No broad benefit to all Muslims is inferred.
Classification checked separately: FRC’s June 2014 Social Conservative Review identifies Weber as director of its Center for Religious Liberty and presents its conservative marriage and constitutional-policy setting. Source [2], title and opening letter. Its June 2015 Conservative Conservatism article explicitly articulates an insider conservative political outlook. Source [3], closing paragraphs.
Describing the endorsement as occurring in a social-conservative institutional setting is a reasoned inference from those dated sources, not from Christianity or religious-liberty advocacy alone. It does not establish every personal belief of Weber or every FRC employee.
RESEARCH NOTES
08 Legal holding and its limits
The Supreme Court’s January 20, 2015 opinion holds that Arkansas’s grooming policy, as applied to the Muslim claimant’s half-inch beard, violated RLUIPA. Source [4], opening of the opinion, printed pages 1–2.
The Court and the commentator are different actors. A unanimous ruling does not make every justice conservative or establish conservatism as the cause of the legal result. This page describes the specific historical holding.

09 Beliefs, reported experiences and unresolved claims
The five unresolved sections are research gaps, not findings of historical absence. No comprehensive search or identity-wide moral conclusion is claimed. Public commentary, legal representation, court filings and judicial outcomes are distinct evidence types.
Inspection log, October 25, 2026: sources [1]–[4] inspected; FRC’s 2014 and 2015 self-presentation resolved the limited institutional-setting classification. Other mosque, UN, local-coexistence and exclusion-policy leads were not retained as verified directional cases. An inaccessible Becket case page and unstable later FRC press-release lead are not needed for this finding.
RESEARCH NOTES
10 Reader-friendly synthesis
This case documents public support in a social-conservative venue for a Muslim claimant’s religious exercise. Its narrow scope leaves room for disagreement in other settings; it does not establish a universal conservative position toward Islam.
HOLY WARS · FICTION
11 Connection to Holy Wars
An individual character may support another person’s rights despite differences elsewhere. No new gameplay mechanic, automatic alliance or identity-based moral score is approved by this record.
