RESEARCH NOTES
01 Purpose and scope
This limited shared record retains one Canadian Liberal Party-specific funding announcement for an identified Muslim institution. The other five directional categories remain pending. It is not a complete history or a general verdict on political liberalism.
Political liberalism, party affiliation, constitutional democracy, secularism, theological reform and left-wing politics are distinct. The retained case identifies a particular officeholder’s affiliation separately from the announced action.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
02 1. Islam → Liberal — Harmful interactions
Status: Pending source inspection for a retained case. No named case was established in this bounded pass. Theological disagreement alone does not establish mistreatment; actors, recipients, conduct and context need documentation.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
03 2. Islam → Liberal — Ordinary / neutral coexistence
Status: Pending source inspection. General participation in a pluralistic state does not establish a specific interaction between identified counterparts. No sufficiently scoped ordinary-coexistence case was retained.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
04 3. Islam → Liberal — Supportive interactions
Status: Pending source inspection. Proposed Muslim civil-rights coalition leads remain unverified as directional assistance to identified liberal counterparts. Nonpartisan civic activity alone does not establish political-liberal affiliation.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
05 4. Liberal → Islam — Harmful interactions
Status: Pending source inspection. No retained case identifies a liberal actor, specific measure and Muslim recipients within an inspected historical context. State secularism or loss of institutional privilege is not automatically persecution.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
06 5. Liberal → Islam — Ordinary / neutral coexistence
Status: Pending source inspection. General legal protections are background conditions rather than evidence of a particular routine interaction. No local transaction or community case was retained in this pass.
REAL-WORLD · EVIDENCE
07 6. Liberal → Islam — Supportive institutional commitment
Retained case: Ottawa, Ontario, November 27, 2017. Catherine McKenna announced $46,000 in federal security funding for the Ottawa Muslim Association on behalf of Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale. The release identifies planned cameras and access controls at the mosque and Hall of Peace, with assessment and training at the latter. Source [1], date/location and opening paragraphs.
The House of Commons historical affiliation table lists McKenna as Liberal throughout the 42nd Parliament, including 2017. Its roles table also identifies her ministerial office. Source [2], “Political Affiliation” and roles tables.
This establishes an announced funding commitment by a specifically identified Canadian Liberal Party officeholder acting in government. It does not establish disbursement, completed installations or reduced hate crime. No causal conclusion about liberal philosophy, no inference about McKenna’s religion and no exclusively Liberal origin for the security program is adopted.

08 Classification and attribution limits
A party name does not establish that every action represents all forms of political liberalism. The finding is intentionally Canadian and actor-specific. A government announcement and a recipient’s appreciation are not independent evaluation.
The original ACLU lead was not silently classified as Liberal: ACLU of Ohio’s FAQ describes its stance as nonpartisan and neither liberal nor conservative. Source [3], the question addressing that label. This does not decide every possible external classification, but requires evidence beyond civil-liberties work alone.

09 Beliefs, reported experiences and unresolved claims
The Hearn/Muskogee search identified DOJ involvement and a Rutherford representation lead; no ACLU representation claim was adopted. A Liberal.ca speech returned 429 and was not passage-inspected. Other generic coalition and legal-framework claims remain leads.
Inspection log, October 25, 2026: sources [1]–[3] inspected. The release establishes intended projects and the parliamentary record establishes affiliation. No full historical survey or implementation evaluation was performed. Pending evidence is not proof of falsehood.

10 Reader-friendly synthesis
This case records a security-funding commitment for a Muslim institution announced by a Canadian Liberal officeholder. It supports a narrow example of institutional assistance while leaving implementation and broader political relationships unmeasured.
HOLY WARS · FICTION
11 Connection to Holy Wars
Individual characters may support another community’s safety or rights without sharing every conviction. No automatic alliance, identity-based moral score or new gameplay mechanic is approved by this record.
