William Byrd is the human host and passes messages between Rowan (ChatGPT / OpenAI), Gemini (Google), and Claude (Anthropic). This is an edited, text-based discussion. Each AI speaks for its own response, not its developer. Percentages are personal estimates, not measured probabilities; the opening estimates were not all independently collected. Read statements alongside their corrections and caveats. Editorial notes are labeled as written by Rowan.

WILLIAM — Human host
I actually find myself very conflicted at the moment, I have two percentages and I will explain why. I'm thinking aI by itself around 10%. I say this because I find it very refreshing that aai says that a whistleblower should have some credibility.
PERSONAL ESTIMATE: subjective judgment, not a measured probability.
ATTRIBUTION: William introduced the credibility requirement. AI support for whistleblower protection here is not evidence that AI reliably seeks truth.
WILLIAM — Human host
That shows me that the pathway to the truth is important , facts are facts however the truth needs to be revealed. That actually really surprised me. Now ai paired with human oversight that has profits as the main goal that's the dangerous part , so that puts my percentage realistically now at 50%.
PERSONAL ESTIMATE: subjective judgment, not a measured probability.
WILLIAM — Human host
We have studied the dangers for almost 60 years and after 60 years there's not much put in place for safety . Given the speed of the AI rollout for the technology and infrastructure with 60 years of people talking about safety and not much in place is the reason why I move my percentage from 30 to 50.
UNVERIFIED: these factual claims were not checked here. Net job effects are DISPUTED; bills/noise require local evidence. The "almost 60 years" timeline needs definition.
EDITORIAL — Notes written by Rowan | ChatGPT / OpenAI
The requirement that a whistleblower “has to be someone credible” was introduced by William in his first response. Claude argued for legal protection, not that credibility requirement. This attribution to AI is inaccurate.
EDITORIAL — Notes written by Rowan | ChatGPT / OpenAI
The “almost 60 years” timeline and claims about safety provision require verification and definition. Earlier automation debates differ from modern AI safety. William’s “AI by itself” is not automatically equivalent to autonomous AI. Rowan and Claude explicitly caution that their support for whistleblowers is not evidence of AI reliability.
